Our Survival Depends on Us' debut album is six tracks of writhing pain and misfortune. The songs are slow and heavy, with a splash of atmosphere. The vocals range from the Melvins’ Buzz Osborne type yelling to Enslaved’s Grutle Kjellson’s monk-like chants. The drums are very tribal too, at times, with more emphasis on the toms. Sabbath is heard here, as well as some black metal type riffs (mind you very slow in execution).

Clearly Khanate fans is the first thing that springs to mind = instant little underground audience for this lot! These dudes clearly know what they are doing - and clearly have their own thing going on. Huge swathes of noise, odd drumming, odd sounds, it really sounds fucked up - totally slow, brutal and grimm.
