The life of Magnolia began in Åmål in 1994 when Ronny Eriksson started to write his own music. Inspired by the music from the late '60s and early '70s, he recorded his first songs on a Fostex channel porta studio. The musical project was called Magnolia. The name came from the old Blue Cheer song "Magnolia Caboze Babyfinger". Ronny played bass, guitar, keyboards and sang. The drums were played by Anders Hedström. Magnolia´s second album "Falska Vägar" is recorded in Love Tholin´s studio (aka "Drop Out Analogue Studio") in Åmål. Mr. Tholin has captured the real sound of Magnolia - live, dynamic and energetic! As on the debut album the music on "Falska Vägar" can be described as heavy progressive blues rock with a lot of improvisations in the vein of Cream, Jack Bruce, Mountain, November, Free, Mecki Mark Men and their likes.
