There is an inherent looseness to the album, undoubtedly as a result of the majority of the music being recorded live. A variety of influences can be heard throughout the 10 tracks, which is mostly in the vein of light psychedelic/progressive rock, albeit with a degree of more ethnic styles creeping in every now and again. Vocalist Susann has a pleasing, if not overly dramatic voice, and you'd be hard pressed to tell that she is Swedish, her diction being nigh on perfect. The album is an interesting and entertaining mixture that crosses and exploits a variety of genres. A very strong debut album.

Drahk Von Trip offer us Heart & Consequences an exhilarating collection of songs which ranges from guitar-driven psych to slower more reflective passages featuring the fine vocal performance of Susann who sounds like Polly Harvey mixed with Barbara Hudson. In fact, the album has the same feel as the debut L.P. by Ultimate Spinach, although has it a thoroughly modern production, which sparkles out of the speakers.

The music is a sort of magical blend of late 60's psychedelia like Jefferson Airplane and HP Lovecraft (with the blues aspect removed and a more ethnic-folk sound used). Some of the tracks remind me a bit of traditional Swedish bands like Garmarna, but playing psychedelic rock. The band use old analog synthesizers, didgeridoo as well as some heavy guitars and great female vocals, which tell cool stories. The bass playing is very cool and very interesting. The material on this CD was recorded live in the studio. It has a great organic sound and great songs.
